Rosie news (18 to 22 months old):
Hi I'm Rosie. I was born on 18th February 2007 and I live in Cambridge, UK. I have big blue eyes and curly brown hair. Three days a week I go to nursery, and on the days that I don't Mummy often meets up with her twin sister and I play with my cousin Charlie. On the weekends Mummy and Daddy sometimes like to take me swimming. I love dancing, bikes, animals and other children and babies. You can see what I get up to on this webpage, and on my page of movie clips.
31st December. Happy New Year! Here are some photos of things I've been up to over the past few days. On Boxing Day Auntie Claudia came over and I played with my Christmas pressies, including my Upsy Daisy doll, polar bear slippers, dolls buggy, and a pink koala hoodie. After a nice lunch we played the stickit game, but Mummy wanted to play her version (where you guess a name written on your head) instead of my game which I showed Nana how to play. Nana and I have both had coughs and colds so we have been snuggling up in bed at home a lot too, but we're much better now. We also stayed home together while Mummy and Daddy went to see Hamlet in London on Monday. Today El, Tim and Charlie came over for lunch which was fun, and later I went next door to my friends Jack and Hannah's house as they were having a party.

25th December. Merry Christmas! I hung my stocking up last night, and then Father Christmas came when I was fast asleep and filled it with toys! For more news of our Christmas Day, check out this whole page of Christmas pictures!

23rd December. Granny and Grandad popped over for lunch and to say Hi to Nana. They arrived just as I'd finished helping doing some cooking (and the lickings). Grandad also took this nice picture of Mummy, Nana and me on the sofa.

21st December. Today Nana, Mummy and Daddy took me to see Father Christmas at Scotsdales. We got to ride in a sleigh pulled by Rudolph first and then visited Santa in his grotto, where I got to choose a toy (well, Mummy chose). I was a little bit less scared this time too, and said 'Thank you' and 'Merry Christmas' to Santa. Here are also some nice pictures from yesterday when we did Christmas food shopping in Waitrose, and had a cuppa with El, Tim and Charlie afterwards - here's me with Nana, and me laughing with Charlie on El's lap.

18th December. This afternoon it was the Rainbow Day Nursery Christmas show. I was a Christmas star, but was feeling a bit grumpy and didn't really want to join in. After I had cuddled Mummy, had a nappy change and eaten 2 mince pies, I was much happier though.

16th December. Nana arrived last night from Australia, and Daddy came back from America, so this morning we put up our Christmas tree and decorated it. Later in the morning I went to the Kreepy Krawlies Christmas party where I saw Father Christmas again (but didn't cry this time), and we all got a present. Charlie and El were there too, as well as some other friends of mine.

6th December. Christmas party season has begun and I have been getting my party dress on - it is purple with sparkly stars on it. Last weekend I went to a Christmas party at Wolfson College (Daddy sometimes takes me to their Saturday morning parents group), where these photos were taken. Today I went to the TWI children's Christmas pantomime at Mummy's work, but Mummy forgot to take the camera, so there are no pictures of me having a really fun time watching Red Riding Hood and eating party food. I got a bit upset when I had to go up to get my present from Father Christmas though - he's quite big and scary when you get close up - but I did get a nice toy clock present.

5th December. Today is Granny's birthday and so Charlie and I went over to Granny and Grandad's house with a birthday cake we decorated to give Granny a birthday surprise in the morning. We all went in our car, and Granny was very pleased to see us, and we were very pleased to eat cake. Yummy.

25th November. Today Harry Agar and his mummy Nick came over for lunch and to play. Here is Harry and me playing going shopping (I'm taking baby too).

23rd November. It's been quiet on my webpage recently, because I have been feeling poorly, and then Daddy and Mummy also got poorly. We have been looking after each other and trying to get lots of rest. Here is a picture of me as Mummy found me one morning when I was catching up on my sleep, and the duvet had fallen off. Remember to check out my movie page for new clips too.

1st November. Claudia came over to our house to play with Charlie and me. We did glueing and sticking, which was great fun.

31st October. I had my own Halloween party this morning, and invited my friends from nursery who also don't go on a Friday. Mummy made pumpkin scones and pumpkin pie and Daddy went to work late so he could make all the teas and coffees. I ate a lot of food and Mummy got the chance to chat to my friends' mummies.

28th October. Today Mummy and I went to visit Granny and Grandad for the morning. We went to play in the park and I did some drawing with Granny. We had to go home after lunch for a Halloween party at my friend Madeline's in the afternoon so I showed them my fancy dress fairy costume which they liked. Later El and Charlie were at Madeline's party too.

26 October. Yesterday El and Charlie popped in for lunch and then Charlie and I did some dancing, which Mummy captured on a movie. This week I have been really enjoying doing drawing and colouring. Today we went for an outing to the Technology Museum in Cambridge with Mummy, Daddy and Ruth, and I drew a picture there too. Then we went to look at machines and boilers. I liked pushing the buttons and making the pumping machines work. Afterwards Mummy, Daddy and I went to Milton Country park for a walk, and I splashed in the muddy puddles.

5 October. The weather is becoming more Autumnal now, and wheras last weekend I was out climbing trees at Anglesey Abbey in the warm weather, this Friday I went to Linton Zoo with Granny and Grandad, along with Charlie, and it was rather cold and wet so we had our picnic back at Charlie's house. The red hat I'm wearing in this picture (on the right, looking at the tapir) is one Mummy knitted and it's my favourite at the moment that I wear all the time outside, and sometimes inside too. This weekend I also helped Daddy take the side off my cot so that it is now a little bed rather than a cot.

30 September. Here are a few pictures of things I've been up to. Uncle Chris sent me a lovely new Autumn outfit from America which I wore to my friend Rhys's naming day. Here's a picture of me wearing it while I was chasing Rhys's cat. My hair is now long enough to wear bunchies, and here's Daddy admiring my new hairstyle. They are very tempting to pull out though! Finally here's me on Saturday when we had tacos for lunch and El and Charlie came round, I gave Daddy a big smile for the camera coz I've got sour cream all over my face!

14th September. We've just got back home from our holiday in Pembrokeshire. I had a lovely time, and you can see more pictures and news on this page that Mummy has put up.
1st September. I am learning many words now, too many to keep adding on my webpage forever, so this will be the last list: drop, hot, egg, nose, buggy (sounds like 'bubee', whereas baby is still 'baba'), sock, bib, sit, feet, knee, purple, bath, chick (for chicken), bike, tractor, happy (pronounced 'happar'), see-saw, owl, bowl, bottle, fart, poo, dance, lady, man, boy, peas, rain, wet. I reckon that's almost 80 words that Mummy can identify, not all of them are pronounced perfectly but I'll work on that.
30th August. We went to spend the day with Auntie Claudia in Northampton today. We all went to the family show at a nearby abbey, and I saw some ducks, chickens, a goose, a turkey, rabbits, guinea pigs, owls, and kittens. I liked to stroke some of them too. When we got back to Claudia's house she let me play in her paddling pool and on her rocking horse, which was great fun, nearly as much fun as playing with all the cat's toys. We all had a lovely day.

18th August. I am 18 months old now and Nana sent some pictures of Daddy when he was about my age. Can you see the similarities with recent pictures of me? My other big milestone is that I have now learnt to say my own name.
16th August. We had a BBQ and invited lots of friends today. Luckily we had good weather, and had lots of fun playing and chatting. I wanted to have some of Mummy's beer, but I was not allowed, so Daddy put some apple juice in an empty bottle for me to have!

13th August. I have been saying some new words this month, including the names of my little friends from Vikings; Rhys and Alban, and my friends next door, Jack and Hannah. I am finding a few prepositions come in useful, like 'up', 'off' and 'down'. Mummy has learnt that when I say 'cot' I am thinking about going to bed, and when I say 'rock-rock-rock' or 'row-row-row' I want her to hold my hands and tip me back and forth singing Row Row Row Your Boat. Other new words include woof; boo; buses; clock; tea; bruise; cereal, juice.
