Rosie news (14-18 months):

13th August. I have been saying some new words this month, including the names of my little friends from Vikings; Rhys and Alban, and my friends next door, Jack and Hannah. I am finding a few prepositions come in useful, like 'up', 'off' and 'down'. Mummy has learnt that when I say 'cot' I am thinking about going to bed, and when I say 'rock-rock-rock' or 'row-row-row' I want her to hold my hands and tip me back and forth singing Row Row Row Your Boat. Other new words include woof; boo; buses; clock; tea; bruise; cereal.
27th July. On Saturday I went to Bill and Mort's birthday party. Bill is one, and here I am playing with him in a box pirate ship. On Sunday we went to the Heckington Show where mummy did some Vikings, we saw some cows and sheep, and here I am watching some horse jumping with Daddy. I also went on the carousel with Daddy and then later with Mummy. It's been too hot to learn any new words this week.

20th July. I have just got back from our holiday at Granny and Grandad's, and I have put all the news and pictures on a separate page. Also this week my new words are: Ruth ("oof"); chair; bus; book; spoon; apple; pair; cheek; up; cot. I also said 'banana' and 'Mummy' once in context, and also a phrase which was very like 'all gone'.

13th July. My new words this week are: cup; eye; ear; hair; door; cheese and tomato (pronounced "tahto" but close enough). No new pictures this weekend as I have been doing indoors things like going swimming, and seeing a movie about a kung fu panda (at which I could point at the screen and say "bear!" lots of times).
8th July. These past couple of weeks I have been very busy learning to say words. My favourite words at the moment are: Daddy; car; more; bee; bear; duck. I like to point and say the word whenever I see them. I can also say: no; uh-oh; bubble; cat; yay; bye bye; hello; hat; Nana; baby (pronounced "baba"), and can nearly say shoes and paper (which is a newspaper rather than paper for drawing on).
1st July. Daddy took us to London to visit his old university. After lunch we went to the Science Museum and I had fun playing in a special exhibition for little people.

22 June. Today we went to Cressing Temple Barns for a Viking show. Some of the time I was a Viking with Mummy, and when Mummy went off to fight the battles I played with Daddy. I also played with Rhys and Alban a bit too.

10 June. A warm sunny day today, so Charlie and I went to Lammas land and played in the large paddling pool there (with no clothes on!) and also went on all the swings and play things. Afterwards we had ice cream. What a lovely afternoon with our Mummies!
3rd June. I went over to Charlie's today, and he can walk now! We had a lovely day playing, so Mummy took some movies which you can see on my movies page (linked above). Afterwards we had cake and watched CBeebies Springwatch.

28th May 2008. I went to nursery in fancy dress today, and I wore my tutu. When I got home I went for an explore down the path in my wellies and then came indoors where Mummy showed me how to play chess.

18th May 2008. Yesterday Grandad was 62 and we went to visit him. Today I am 15 months old and we went to do a Vikings show at Wretton in Norfolk.

11th May 2008. Today we went to Wandlebury for a picnic with lots of people Mummy works with. Here is another picture of the little outfit I'm wearing too. The day before we went visiting to the Pettigrews', and on a bike ride to the Crofts', and I did lots of playing outside in the fine weather. I am now really confident on my feet and doing lots of walking. Mummy and Daddy say that I am now officially a toddler!
6th May 2008. Another hot day (and more forecast this week). Yesterday I saw Charlie having fun in his paddling pool on his web page so Mummy let me have a paddling pool today in the garden, and it was lots of fun splashing around!

3rd May 2008. We went to the Baines family gathering for the 90th birthday of my great great aunt. We all dressed up smart for the day, and had a great time playing in the garden and on the bouncy castle (Uncle Tim took this picture and there's another on Charlie's webpage). Afterwards we went to Charlie's Nanny and Grandad's guesthouse to stay the night. The next day we popped in to see Stratford upon Avon, where Shakespeare was born, before we went home.

26th April 2008. After a week of being spotty (but feeling okay) and being home off nursery with Daddy while Mummy was away overnight, we all enjoyed a family day on Saturday before Daddy goes away again. We went to Anglesey Abbey and met up with Daddy's friends Mort and Ange, and their son William. Here we are with our Daddies in the sunshine.

21st April 2008. Yesterday we had Sunday lunch with Granny & Grandad, and Auntie El, Uncle Tim & Charlie, at the Greyhound pub in Sawston. I have not been feeling myself this weekend though, and when we got home I had got a temperature and a spotty rash all over my body. So in the afternoon Mummy and Daddy took me for an outing to Addenbrookes hospital where I saw a doctor and nurse and they reckoned it was my teeth coming through causing the temperature, which caused the rash. I stayed home from nursery this morning, but was much better by lunchtime. While I was exploring in Mummy and Daddy's room before bath time tonight, Mummy caught me on video doing some walking.

April 2008. I now have a ball pool of my own which I like to climb in and out of. I am also very busy at the moment learning to walk. I can shuffle sideways a bit now, which is very exciting.

April 2008. Daddy and I are brushing our teeth. He has been away working in Glasgow the other week, so this week I have spent lots of time with him.
