   Rosie     Jonas

I'm Rosie (Rosalind Catherine) and was born on 18th February 2007. I go to Fawcett Primary School. I love  dancing and singing, painting, dressing up, other children and horses. I like learning about history and what happened in the past. My favourite colours are purple and yellow.

Jonas William was born on 9th May 2010. Jonas is named after his Gt Gt Gt Gt Grandfather Jonas Webb. Jonas loves songs & nursery rhymes, The Wiggles, animals, resue vehicles and diggers. Jonas goes to  nursery three days a week. On Fridays he often goes to Trumpington Toddlers playgroup.

We have a cousin Jinx in Australia, and we often like to play with our other cousins Charlie and Millie, so check out their webpage too.  You can see what we get up to on this webpage, and on the page of movie clips.

4th May. We celebrated Jonas' birthday today. He got a Wiggles dvd, Wiggles bag and Wiggles skivvy, a toger costume and some horses Playmobil so he can play with Rosie. Granny and Grandad and Claudia came round for lunch with more pressies and then in the afternoon it was his animals theme birthday party which was great fun. Jonas enjoyed having his best friend Lexi to play with. His godfather Tim Granger had made him an amazing tiger birthday cake!

14th April. Spring is finally here, so we took the annual daffodil photo of our family, and managed to capture a nice one. We did a silly photo afterwards too!

7th April. We enjoyed watching the Ugly Duckling ballet on CBeebies over Easter so today Rosie and Jonas re-created the show themselves while watching it before bedtime. Rosie was one of the girl ducklings, the ugly duckling, a cat, and the swan, while Jonas was the boy duckling and a frog (whose eyes slipped from his head to his tummy). I have included some screen caps to show what they are re-creating for those who didn't see this charming little ballet.

5th April. Mummy put together a treasure hunt for the children with clues hidden around the house (including by the squash bottles, in the drum kit and inside the Gruffalo book), which ultimately led to a treasure box underneath the fish tank containing a dvd for each of them (Wiggles for Jonas, Horrid Henry for Rosie) and some chocolate coins. Rosie could read the rhyming clues while Jonas could try and identify the picture drawn on each clue!

28th March. Handa's Surprise is Jonas' favourite book at the moment, so we bought some fruit so he (and bear) could play Handa's Surprise for real. Only a courgette is pretending to be the avocado until Mummy could get one this afternoon, and a papaya is being the guava because Waitrose don't sell guavas. Jonas likes matching each animal to the fruit it takes. The movie link shows the story as an animation.

27th March. Rosie and the Key Stage 1 children at Fawcett gave an assembly all about Hats, and the other things they had been learning this term. Rosie and Louisa said about builders hats and dressed as builders. She also showed off her Easter Bonnet on the way back to class too.

16th March 2013. It is Mummy and Daddy's 11th anniversary, but also the Science Festival today so we met up with Tim, Charlie and Millie and went into town to find out about science! We dressed up as scientists, learned about microbes and bacteria, made (and ate) DNA from sweets, built a bridge, and loads more. Great fun, but tiring!
