Aldeburgh 11-13th January 2008

On Friday we set off for Aldeburgh. After a nice nap in the car the rain finally stopped, and we stopped at Snape Maltings. After reviving ourselves with tea in the tea rooms, we went for a walk. On Daddy's shoulders I got a great view of the Maltings concert hall and the reed beds. At Snape they have a sculpture by an artist called Henry Moore - I don't think he's a relation but I went to check it out anyway.

Where's Rosie????.....................................................................................................................................................There she is!!!

When we got to the Wentworth hotel in Aldeburgh Daddy was all tired out. After my bath time we all read books on the huge bed together. I had my own cot to sleep in, which was beside the wardrobe so that by opening the wardrobe door I could have some privacy when I went to bed. Once I was asleep Mummy and Daddy got ready and went to the Hotel restaurant for dinner (someone was listening in case I got upset - but I slept very well both nights).

On Saturday it was a lovely sunny day and we went to the beach at Southwold. We went on the pier, and had a hot chocolate (well Mummy and Daddy did - I had my sippy cup and snacks). We walked along the sea front for a long way. I then slept while Mummy and Daddy looked in the shops and then we had lunch at the White Swan hotel.

Sunday was our last morning at the hotel. I started the day in Mummy and Daddy's bed, and we all got up and went to the dining room for breakfast. They made me some scrambled eggs for my brekkie, and Mummy and Daddy had Full English. I was very well behaved all the times I was in the hotel and we all had a lovely relaxing time. It was very windy and a bit cold on Sunday, but before we came home we all walked to the sculpture at Aldeburgh beach and then into town. On the way home we visited Orford castle and had lunch at the pub there. We had had such a lovely time that Mummy and I slept in the car on the way home.
